Hi, I'm thinking of picking up a Gaia and have a question about setting local on/off via midi. I want to use it both for it's internal sounds and also as a controller for softsynth sounds. I use Ableton Live to control my setup and am wondering if I can send a local on/off message via ableton to the gaia so that for songs where I only want to play the softsynth and not the gaia sounds I can turn it on/off with a midi message. I didn't see it listed in the midi implementation chart but am hoping there is a way.
Thanks for your help!

This is a great idea! I will try it when I get home and let you know. I have the SH-01 and Apple Logic. I've never tried to send a local on/off message. Stay tuned!

Re: Local on/off via midi?
and the final verdict is.... Nope. Unless I'm doing it wrong, but I'm pretty sure I wasn't. Just to confirm, I checked the manual and of the messages it states it will receive, 122 isn't one of em. You can download the manual here to check for yourself:
