Intermittent Crackling

Hi,

I have just bought a second hand Gaia SH-01 but it looks in good condition, one owner was a retired musician, only used at home.

I'm just getting to grips with hooking it up into Ableton, I'm a beginner when it comes to DAW and Synths.
I've got it connected via USB to my Imac and everything is working.

Sometimes when I play I get a crackling noise.
It can last for about a minute, then appears to go away.

Has anyone else experienced this, is it a fault with the synth or USB, are there any settings I can check to try and stop this from happening.
