Sampling solutions question

Post by boyddrums »

I naively purchased the Juno Gi assuming it had sampling capabilities, which is more or less what I need. However, I've got what I've got, so I'm hoping somebody may have some ideas, since I do have some tools.

I also have an Alesis DM8 drumkit, and a PC with Reason installed. With these tools, isn't it possible to setup triggered samples in some way? I'm unclear on how to proceed. It seems like it's possible, but I'm not seeing how.

Or, do I just need to get a digital sampler?

It's basicly a keyboard with Br-8 in it, so you can sample audio in the juno Gi's mutlitrack recorder, but you can't use it as patch or assigne them to notes on keyboard or drum machine.
But You can export you audio data to a pc via USB.
I use Kontakt 5 sampling software from Native Instruments to trigger my samples.
They have a free version here:
