Note drop pitch bend without bending.

Post by progmr »

Is there a way to set the pitch bend to harshly drop down 1/2 step...that is with out actually bending the note downwards. I need to perform the brass part for "I Feel Good" and the 1/2 step riff (F/C/D to E/B/C#)isn't possible to sound smooth so I am thinking to finger the chord with my right hand and drop the pitch 1/2 step using the bend stick.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Isn't this what transpose buttons are for?

Can you do this with the Pitch Envelope? You could set the pitch to drop by the required amount at key off. You'd need to give it a long enough Release, though.

Or Step LFO, if your performence is tempo fixed?

I don't think there's an easier way to make the pitch bend occur sharply, rather than smoothly, than using the transpose buttons, as Gambler suggested.
