Recoding Gi through its output without creating loops

I'll try to figure this out on my own, but so far I haven't succeeded, so I though I'll just ask.

Is there a way to record external sound onto Gi's recorder without it being output through main outs? I want to take Gi's sound, add some others via external mixer, then record the result on Gi's internal recorder through inputs. Problem is, inputs usually get outputted, which creates a feedback loop.
