Adding effects after recording.

Post by dmitche3 »

I'm just starting to play around with the Gi with the audio recording and I can't figure out if what I'm trying to do is possible or not.

I have no problems with inserting effects with recordings, repeating, auto-patch in/out, etc.

What I've done is a dry recording ( no effects ). Now, I know that I can add the effect when playing back the tracks but can I add the effects to the recorded tracks? Or, in other words, can I record the played back tracks with the effects inserted into another track?

Has anyone any experience doing this? The manual makes no references to applying effects and then re-recording the output.

Thank you very much.

Well, I'll answer this myself. I shouldn't have given up so quickly.

I can apply effects to a recorded track by using Bounce mode to apply to the track. Mute the undesired tracks, apply the effects, and select a target track.

My bad also as there IS a small reference under "Bounce" about applying reverb and delay to the bounced tracks.

Hope this helps some one.
