Help me Understand .Why lock a thread in the Free Zone

Post by Rocness »

Hi,
As far as I know the free Zone is where you can talk about anything .
So was there a rule broken .
Why lock this thread --> viewtopic.php?f=4&t=39553&start=180 .

I'm just trying to understand why .

You were causing threads to be locked - in fact not locked, but moved - on the Korg forum, and you manage to cause the same thing here. Even in the Free Zone. Time to think about yourself and your intentions. The sooner you understand the purpose of a product dedicated forum, the better for you.
In the case that you don't understand: what childish mind forces you to constantly inform us about what thread is locked somewhere? Who the f..k cares about it here?

Wow!

We have seen Freudian slips at the Roland Clan, but never a Freudian apostrophe!

I will not respond to negativity or pseudo-intellectuals .
I am way to far above that station .

The question at the top of the thread still stands,
like The Statue of Liberty and Her beacon of freedom,
which I can see out my window .

I never was in my life, and will never, ever, be "product dedicated".

Anything "product dedicated" immediately loses my respect and my attention.

Result-oriented, yes.

Process-oriented, yes.

Dedicated to music, yes.

But "product dedicated" sounds like "addicted" to my ears.

And: did you ever try reasoning with a junkie?

Not to mention: did you ever try talking with a junkie about whatever stuff he is into?

Did you ever try talking a gambler out of his obsession?

Well, first thing he will explain to you that you are missing the point, that your views are limited, that you are stiff, etc etc.

Product-dedicated forums are the biggest lie corporations invented for bamboozling customers. They feed on primitive emotions (the need to belong, need for validation, anxiety, cravings, aggression, envy, etc.)

So please... please...

Actually I think the thread was locked by mistake. Some one was mentioning the need to lock a thread at Korg Forums and I think piaknowguy thought he was asking to do it here. That's just what I think. Nevertheless I agree that OUR thread, even beeing at the Free Zone, really needed to be stopped. It became nothing but a "dumb and blind" converstation.

...also we could not let it grow as much as the DOES BEER thread ;-)

Actually, I am usually pretty good at making judgement calls, which is why I was asked to moderate this forum in the first place. However, I also realize that I am not beyond reproach, perhaps allowing my 'personal bent' to cloud my decision. I was somewhat tired of seeing this topic pop up, where the original poster's intent was to get JP80 users fired-up and excited about their keyboard, not to bash Korg and the Kronos or Roland and the JP80/Fantom G for that matter.

It's time had come. The topic stays locked! I would however encourage you to start a new topic with relevant posts.

Your humble servant,
PiaKnowGuy
