Roland countdown?
Roland countdown?
So - what do you think the product premiere is going to be on Roland Connect which has countdown at 13 days?
Fantom? V-Synth? Drums? ... ???? :)

Re: Roland countdown?
Nice catch Neil!
Roland has a page listing debut events here. They usually don't post anything in advance, but they have this time.
"RD700-NX" makes no sense to me as it has already been out for a few years.

I predict a Rackmount/desktop Jupiter ......
Re: Roland countdown?
It would be a little strange lose a large part of the incredible interface of the Jupiter 80.drpopper wrote:I predict a Rackmount/desktop Jupiter ......
Re: Roland countdown?
Well, my local Roland guy is staying very tight lipped about it all - wonder what it can be?!!!
Re: Roland countdown?
There is a pic of a small box on a Facebook page . Either:
JP 80 module, new groovebox, new TR drum machine, small 25 note keyboard.

Re: Roland countdown?
It's most certainly a Jupiter rack version.
And I will eat my hat if it isn't!

Re: Roland countdown?
If it is a JP80 module, and I suspect it is, it would be nice if there were a Stack Mode like the JD-990 to increase polyphony.
You can kill off voices pretty quick on the JP80 on some of the heftier patches, say if your holding the sustain pedal and you do a run up the keys

Re: Roland countdown?
It does seem that's the odds on favourite - rack JP-80 (according to the various forums anyway)
We'll all find out at the end of the week...

Somebody posted a picture of the INTEGRA-7 advertisment (from the backside of the german magazin "Keyboards") on gearslutz and the german advertisment text says in english:
"The INTEGRA-7 offers the gigantic number of 6000 outstanding sounds in a single instrument.
With the expressive and fresh SuperNATURAL sounds, powerful classic synthesizer sounds and the essential sound of all 12 legendary SRX-Boards, the INTEGRA-7 combines the past, present and future of sound design.
The core of the INTEGRA-7 is its SuperNATURAL sound production with Behavior Modeling Technology...[blabla about SN]"
And it mentions the "Motional Surround Technology", which allows the placement of each sound in a 3d field with just two stereo channels...
So it seems to combine the whole Jupiter-80 sound engine plus all 12 SRX boards and "Motional Surround Technology" in a single module. I guess the whole tone structure might be somewhat different than on the JP-80...
I wonder what the price will be compared to the JP-80...
