Organ sounds

Post by mbr »

Hello to all @ the Roland clan!

I have been browsing this site for many years and reckon it's BRILLIANT! :-)

Sorry, but I'm not really sure what would be 'right' topic area for this...

I have a V-Combo VR-09 and would like to purchase a PK-9 to complement it.

(FYI: I played various organs/electones as a kid and have missed playing the pedals ever since! LOL!)

The questions I have are:

If I connected an Integra-7 to the above listed setup, using the Integra's organ sounds and utilising the
PK-In plug of the VR-09, how would this setup behave?

What I mean by this is, by default would the sounds just be coming from the keys or the pedals as well?

Alternatively, to achieve pedals & keys would this require the mapping of midi channels etc ?

Also, I found the following post interesting:

viewtopic.php?f=44&t=47632&p=272944&hil ... an#p272930

So taking this into consideration, what (if any) of the Integra's organs will sound on the pedals?

Were some/all models just keys as opposed to a 'full organ'? (This question applies to current Jupiter
and Fantom series as well).

So my 'conundrum' is this:

VR-09 with PK-9: Plenty of pedals but not enough keys - would really love 76 keys...

Above setup with an Integra 7 - heaps more sounds but the keys...

VR-700 with an Integra - maybe but VR-700 is now discontinued. Anyways, VR700 in Australia SSP
is $3000.

For that price, gimme a jupiter 80!

Any assistance regarding this post would be most enlightening!

Cheers!

P.S. Other Roland stuff that's kept me 'amused' over the years has been an SCC-1 sound card
and an E-16! ;-)
