Approving Posts?

Hi all!

I think it's cool and smart and all to have folks who just signed up moderated but ... it's also a bit annoying. Like I just posted the answer to a problem and someone else whose posts apparently don't get moderated posted "Did you try this already?" on the thread because my own answer is not yet visible. So ... how do I actually get into "not moderated" territory? Maybe everybody else knows this from other forums but I have no clue what I need to do to get "upgraded".

We had to do something to limit new users as we were drowning in spam to the point where long standing members were leaving.

No worries. Like I said, I totally understand why people are moderated at first. I was just really unclear on what I had to do. A certain number of posts, ask someone, solve a riddle, etc. I had no clue. So I just posted about it. Sorry! :-D And thanks for the promotion.
