Gotta say I'm not impressed with the vid, the mix is shocking but even so, theres nothing there I couldn't get with my $500 alesis fusion......the acoustic sounds need to really kick ass coz the synth section doesn't really give you anything you cannot get a lot cheaper...I really want to like the jupiter but nothing too impressive so far, looking forward to some better demos...come on roland give us some decent demos! Kronos is a definate for me but the Jupi not yet.

WTF? That must have been one of the crappiest demos i ever saw!
Seems that the JP-80 is the perfect tool to create shitty balkan techno.

hi, long time reader/lurker here.
just wanted to share this one, the audio in this video is much clearer i think
some serious brass sounds going on in this one, it will definitely cut in a very dense live mix/setting
and at Y298,000 in japan, this is a bargain! ^_^

Is the Jupiter 80 doing the rythm part as well on those demos ?

I find it not clear what comes from Jupiter 80 and what does not.

and then what can we do with Jupiter 80 's solo part and percussion part that are present in what is called a "Registration" by Roland ?

The Jupiter Piano sounds great.

The worst light show I have ever seen!

That's a good vid. Some of the others are good too. Gotta say the synth sounds do sound very analogue 80s polysynth style. The acoustic sounds seem quiet realistic too. Just wonder if they should have put more sliders and knobs on there.
