Having AP Synthesis control of the synth tones would be so much fun. I always have had good results layering the sounds, but man to be able to apply phrasing like they did on the GT? that would be nice.

Yeah there is that whole computer compatibility thing to factor in. At least with the JP 80 it doesn't need computer compatibility for anything other than midi and audio. There's that Sonar plugin that turns it into a control surface but I can't imagine that's very useful with the controls available. Punching in and out for recording and playback is about it right? And then the midi and audio can all be handled the old fashion way if support dies.

Cakewalk is owned by Gibson now btw
