no chance for classic instruments anymore

Post by delirium »

I compared sounds coming from jupiter 80 and don't see and hear anything special, anything I couldn't reproduce on other synths like yamaha or korg. So the question comes to mind what's the points?

Take away supernatural and its no better and maybe even less than the Fantom G.
So yeah its just another re-cycling of past roland tech in another box.

I think 256 notes of polyphony is better. You must mean supernatural and polyphony. IMHO, I find it ridiculous to even compare the two. They are different beasts. ;-)

Well, dont get to carried away with the Gi.. lol..its a nice basic synth and good value for the money, and yes, for sure the engine (as you put it) is derived from the Fantom G... but it is most certainly not equal to it.

As far as the JP-80 is concerned, just like the V-Synth GT, any new flagship synth with new ways of creating sounds or one that offers broader richer sound palette is ALWAYS welcome, regardless of manufacture or technology..

How do you "take away SuperNATURAL" from the JP?

The JP is using SuperNATURAL sound engines exclusively instead of the Fantom-G's 4-tone PCM engine, so where's recycling?
