How to make any poly sound into mono with glide?

Post by Roderick »

Just need some programming tips for this beast.

I want to be able to make any sound on this keyboard into a portamento/legato glide mono sound.

Should be simple to do but I can't figure it out. Please help
thanks!

Well, there are four elements to your question.

First - 'any' sound; there is no way to apply what you want globally to all sounds. You have to edit each individual sound with the mono and porto elements.

Second - mono. To change into mono;

1. Tap on Edit next to your liveset.

2. Now tap on the Layer tab along the bottom

3. Now tap on mono/poly on the left menu

4. Select Mono for each of the tones in the liveset

5. Save the liveset!

Which comes to #3 - Legato is different to porto. if you want legato, you can also switch legato on in the same area as 4. above.

Fourth - Portomento. Now that you have your mono set for the liveset in question, you can now add your glide;

1. Tap on Edit next to your liveset.

2. Now tap on the Layer tab along the bottom

3. Now tap on Pitch on the left menu

4. On next screen you can add portomento and adjust the time of the glide.

5. Save the liveset!

Hope this helps :)

Hey thank you for your post Cello. It's really helped.

Now I have another question. Sorry, I'm still new at this.
While in Mono Legato mode is there a way to soften the first note instead of it blaring loud at
full velocity? The notes played after the first are fine but I want the first note that I play to sound
like it's already been in the legato sequence. Does that make sense?
