Roland has just released a new Jupiter 80 sound bank called Refills Pads.
From the demos the sound bank sounds really good.
Thanks Roland

Re: Roland has new sound bank on Axial Portal
Is this is a late christmas present due to the problems of UPS? ;)
Anyway, a very nice bunch of sounds and nice to notice that Roland still pays attention to the JP80.

Re: Roland has new sound bank on Axial Portal
Hi Just merges these new sounds into my existing Jupiter 80 sounds. None of the Registrations has a sound allocated to the Lower Live Set.
Is that how it is meant to be or have I just messed up my merge, which is easy to do?
Regards to all for 2014.

Hi - just checked and indeed the lower liveset layer is not used in any of the sounds so seems that you have imported them correctly.

Thanks Cello, I did not fancy having to rebuild my banks again.
There are some excellent sounds here, both in the Registrations and the individual tones. A lot to keep most people happy for a while.
Regards,
David

Re: Roland has new sound bank on Axial Portal
I was going to query the lack of lower registration sounds. Thanks for clarifying that.
Re: Roland has new sound bank on Axial Portal
The "new" sounds do indeed sound great, but they are the same sounds we already have. That is, they consist of the same live sets and tones already present in the firmware. These "new" sounds are basically registrations that combine one existing live set with two existing tones. There might be some tweaks to the registration settings that affect the sound, but these are not really "new" sounds, as such.
Keep that in mind when importing, since you can reassign the registrations to use the existing live sets and tones, rather than store them as duplicates.
Also, these registrations are apparently made for the Jupiter-50 since they all lack a lower live set.
However, all updates to the new Jupiters are welcome. :)

Re: Roland has new sound bank on Axial Portal
It looks like Roland "is" committed to making new sounds for the Jupiter 80.
They are continuing to add new sound banks to the AXIAL portal.
There is now a new DANCE sound bank.
Keep them coming Roland, Thanks.

And a Timeless Synths collection which sounds pretty good.
Keep them coming Roland, Thanks.
