Korg UK have just accused me of being un-professional!

Post by JeffB63 »

According to KORG UK, based on a conversation I've just had with them, if you're using a PC for live performance you're not professional and should go out and buy a Mac immediately!

Perhaps some of you PC based musicians would like to let them know that not being bothered or able to write ASIO drivers for their, in my opinion, over priced and over hyped workstation is in fact making them the un-professional ones!

Probably what they meant was more pros use Macs in music applications than do PC (internet "pros" are another story). Not really sure why this even matters when using a Kronos live doesn't it have everything you need plus more? Why even post this here?

Because I own more Roland gear than anything else and this time around I bought on price rather than spec.

Just a warning to others to not do the same!

Aren't ASIO drivers really old technology? I remember my soundblaster supporting ASIO. I've been on Mac for the last 10 years & haven't kept up :)

So what? This has nothing to do with the JP-80.

This topic should be in the Free Zone.

Excuse me... is it difficult to understand what JunoJohn and Devnor told you about not the right place to post this subject?

You could have initially posted by accident and everybody understands and everybody have done it, but after your harsh response I can see that you did not post here by accident at all.

Why don't you post this in the Free zone or better in the Korgforums? that is the right place to complain about something regarding Korg staff, isn't it?

Cheers,

OP has got a thread going at KF as well as this one...

No problem with posting and venting a little (we all need that from time to time!) but in the JP-80 is not the right place. Shame the OP took it badly as no offence was meant.

Of course there's no problem to post this type of things or anything and as I can see it this forum is open to everyone, but my point is that insisting in posting on the JP-80 something with no relation at all and taking it badly on top of it...well
Maybe I took it badly too a little bit... ;-) Thanks for claiming my attention Cello
