Help on portamento question

Post by richardbates1 »

I feel really stupid that I can't figure this small problem out myself.
I created a solo violin patch where I wanted a fast portamento between pressed notes.
My problem is that I seem to only have the portamento going from a high note to a low note but can't get the portamento to apply from low note to high note?

How do you program portamento to go both directions?

Sounds like you have the solo layer in monophonic mode.

Press edit next to the registration name, then press the solo tab. At the bottom on the left options is mono/poly. Select poly. Then see if that works. :)

Thanks Cello, I was going about it all wrong.
I was trying to create a solo violin in the upper registration instead of solo.
Then when I changed portamento from TONE to ON and adjusted the timing on the portamento it worked the way i was wanting it to.
