Hi,
Could you please let me know, how can I make all 16 MIDI channels of Roland JP 80 assigned to 16 different instruments so that all 16 MIDI channels of my Cubase DAW are played with 16 different instruments at once from the sound generator of JP 80. Despite reading manual and internet forum I could not.
According to the link below it should, am I right?

you can't.
You can only play 10 sounds at the same time (4 tones in upper part,4 in lower, 1 in percussion and 1 in solo), but you can not assign them to 10 different midi channels, since the Jupiter 80 supports only 4 midi channels.

As Tom_1970 just said, it can't. Both the JP-80 and the 50 are 4 Part multitimbral synths.Tom_1970 wrote:you can't.

Seriously? :-/
Probably the easiest thing to do on the JP-80!
In registration view, click on Edit beside the Liveset name. Then you see the four tones in that liveset. Tap on edit next to the tone name and scroll through the options. Approach is the same for both upper and lower livesets.
