Sequenced Percussion part

Post by Tom_1970 »

Although I really love my Jupiter 80 I do think it lacks the possibility of apreggiating the percussion part.
Without that I think the Percussion part is pretty useless for percussion.

Just before the weekend I collected my Aira set (TR-8, TB-3) and I wondered if I could use the TR-8 to sequence the Percussion part of the Jupiter 80.
So I connected the TR-8 via MIDI to the Jupiter 80 and it works quite well!

I made a short demo, nothing fancy, but fun to do.

I guess I am the first one here, who bought the Jupiter 80, because it is not a workstation. Therefore I decided not to buy a Korg. I cannot imagine that a built-in-sequencer gives me the same possibilites that I have with a professional audio/sequencer/notation software. By the way: Korgs legacy collection in combination with the Jupiter ist really inspiring :)

Hi Tom, thanks for the YouTube clip, I really enjoyed watching the Jupiter interacting with the drum machine. I'm very new to the Jupiter and it's been only two days in my home, so I'm looking forward to trying things similar to what you did in the video as soon as I've learned the basics!
