I used the NordDrum app for a while as a drumsequencer for the Jupiter Percussion part.
I do not use the JP-80 much for it's drumcapabilities, but I have used it in combination with a TR-8.

Mind that all sounds are from the JP-80. The TR-8 is just used as a drumsequencer.

I went with the TR-8. The first drum machine I tried was a the Korg Volca drum machine but I sold it. Too limited for me.

Another vote for the TR-8 from me. I use it (along with the other AIRA gear - MX-1 ordered) and they work/sound great together.

I've only read that the Tr8 is a great bit of kit, I use Maschine Studio for my drum patterns. Let's not forget about that great drum machine still selling: Boss Dr 880- 440 drum sounds- 40 bass sounds to add but a few features, certainly would be my choice. Let us know what you decide on.
