Scottish Sounds

Post by GatesOfDelirium »

Hi there

First post please be kind

Just bought second hand JP80 and cannot find the following which I would have considered to be bread and butter sounds

Bagpipe Fiddle Banjo Mandolin

Has anyone managed to simulate these or point me in the right direction to a web resource

Kind regards

Not sure about several of those sounds being on board but the uilleann pipes sound great, I thought. Particularly Uilleann Journey Liveset has the bag drone sound on the lower end and the very expressionate pipes on the top. Nice. I played along with some Pogues with that one for quite a while.

Hopefully someone else with more world instrument experience will chime in about the other instruments.

Best of luck and welcome to the Clan!

The Jupiters do not have Bagpipe, Fiddle, Banjo or Mandolin patches.
I personally find that a drag.
Would be nice to have more instruments and variations of instruments.

There is a bagpipe waveform in the PCM waveforms (#116 out of 363) but only the pitched pipe part not the drone.
As mentioned the Uilleann pipes sound good.
There are no fiddle, banjo or mandolin PCM waveforms or Supernatural sounds. :(

Where can I find the Uilleann Journey Liveset? I didn't see it in the stock JP-80 Registrations.
