Expression Pedal for Jupiter 80

Post by jeff wraight »

Hi Folks,

I recently aquired a Jupiter 80. Wonderful. One thing; I have several Yamaha FC7 controller pedals and was hoping one would work with the Jupiter 80. Well it does - kind of. The volume from low to high is all done in the first inch or so of travel with nothing happening for the rest. i.e. it's more like an on off switch. I just wondered if there was some sort of mod could be done to the pedal as I cannot see anything in the Jupiter's menu that would help.
I only wanted to save myself another 50 quid for the correct Roland/Boss pedal - (what is it an EV5? Something like that.)

Cheers Folks

Bloody marvellous. Thanks so much for taking the time. I thought it might be something on those lines.
Kind regards

Hi Folks,
I noticed that quite a few people looked at this item, so just to update:
It took a while to get a couple of in line stereo sockets, but they arrived yesterday and I made myself a short polarity change adaptor. I am happy to say that it works very well. The Yamaha FC7 throws the volume from zero to full throughout it's travel. Excellent workaround. Best wishes to all. Jeff.

You can use the FC7 with Roland gear if you create a polarity adapter!
