Bought these yesterday and today very carefully auditioned each sound.

These are as close to the original sounds as you can get without a real CS-80 or VP-330! Highly recommended to all.

apologies for the dumb question, so go easy on a brotha.

where does one find these packs for purchase?

and a question on the loading of these things.

ive always just loaded up an entire sound set at once. i have not yet done just one or two sound banks.

so i take it these packs dont have the entire j80 sound library, so im ASSuming these packs are "one off" sound patches, so if i ONLY load this sound patch, will it delete everything else in memory or just put this sound patch in an empty slot on the keyboard?

make sense what im askin'? :(

The pack contains: 31 registrations, 45 Livesets, 63 Tones, 4 arpeggio's and two soundfiles.
You can purches them here: http://www.barbandco.com/store/p114/Van ... ities.html

I've loaded the whole soundpack into the JP-80 and they were all put in the first available empty slots.
If you don't have (enough) empty slots, you can delete some or manually assign the sounds to the slots you select.

To load the sounds you use the import routine which is on the 2nd page of the menu screen.

If you have enough slots the JP-80 will assign them to the next available ones - if you don't, you'll have to remove sounds (tones probably) or overwrite sounds until the required number are free.

thanks both,

one more question,

if space runs out as the patches are loading, will the entire loading just "error out" discarding what was loaded or will it keep those already loaded and just stop loading more (since there is no room)? maybe another dumb question?

i am sure i have plenty of space but just wanted to ask since i have your attention... ;)

Should there not be enough slots for registrations, livesets and / or tones, then the import will fail. There must 100% slot availability for the import to work.

These are really good news! Do they work in JP50?

Nope, because the sounds use lower and upper layers.

However - there is good news; he's working on a JP-50 version of the pack :)

Just purchased. Superb sounds! Best Vangelis emulations I've heard from a Roland VA synth. Hope more JP80 sound banks will be forthcoming!
