Jupiter 80 midi question

Post by MacTyros »

I Have an option to buy a used jupiter 80

But it has to fit in my midirig..
Tried to find out in the manual if its possble, but its not entirely clear..

So here is my question..
Is it possible to controll one of the 2 live sets from midi..(piano sounds from my 88 key)
While at the same time controlling my VST’s on the MAC with a keyzone on the Jupiter 80?

Yes but I don't know why you'd setup like that. Are you using Mainstage? For more info, look at the registration mode of the JU80. Good luck.

I am running a 2 keyboard setup, 88 keys lower..
Thinking about replacing my 76 key modx upper with a jupiter 80..
Because of the more suited keybed, i tend to play piano on that..

I also have an ipad connected, currently use cammelot pro.. as host...

Yes, you can control each part (Solo, Upper, Lower, Rhythm) on a separate MIDI channel. Just be aware that you cannot turn of MIDI channels from receiving MIDI data on the Jupiter-80/50.
