Drum loops

Post by MacTyros »

Have the Jupiter 80 for about a week now..
Great stuff..

I am however trying to add a drumloop (midi) to an arpeggio in my left hand.
Can’t figure out how to do this?

Starting to doubt if its possible at all?
Should i use an external sequencer to trigger the drums?
Or maybe record them to audio, and loop that?

Any help is helpfull..
I hope i missed out on this in my journey trough the manual..

Arpeggios can only be played in the upper and lower parts, while drums can only be played in the perc part. So arpeggios on drums is not possible, to my knowledge. It is better anyway to use an external drum sequence or audio loop, as you suggested. You can also sequence the perc part over MIDI. The onboard drums are quite good, there are just not many kits to choose from.

I tried to have a midi drum loop to arp
And then use the sample sounds on upper/lower
To Come up with beat-like sounds.
However, for some reason,
the Quick try-out didnt succeed,
Not sure why though..
