Fantom FA-76 broken key

Post by dave-LIVE »

Greetings!

I purchased a Fantom FA-76 with a broken key. I secured a replacement key and then took it to a "recommended" Roland service center - who told me the entire keyboard would have to be replaced at a cost of $900. Can anyone recommend someone who can actually perform this task at a reasonable price?

Thanks in advance for you assistance :-)

hey,
$900.00 is insane!
Roland's website used to have a search for authorized dealers and repair centers for Roland gear. Check on their site or give them a call.

Just change it yourself :-) The FA-76 is fairly recent so it's probably very easy to replace it. On older 80's / 90's gear it can be difficult to get to the keys because you have to remove several circuitboards and a million wires..
