Rhythms louder than keys on RS-50
I want to play keys whilst also having a rhythm playing in the background (by using the rhythm guide button) but the rhythm is so loud that it drowns out my actual key playing. How can I rectify this?
Re: Rhythms louder than keys on RS-50
Dear Melanie,
Indeed, by default the rhythm is too loud, in this further, I think, underrated synth.
If needed I will make photo's of the knobs lit and the display, but hopefully the explanation below will do.
Your are playing in performance mode.
Following knobs are "lit"(and therefor pressed):
In mode section:
"Perform"
"Part Select"
In edit section:
"Param"
Rhythm Guide
In other words, you havea perfromance with rythm guidance playing
The Param knob is important and pressed at last.
Next to the display, you press the "Page/<Cursor>" buttons until the display shows:
PERFORM:PART1
Level: 100
Increase Level with the "- LEVEL +" buttons up to 127
For each part in a performance, you'll notice that none of them are set to 127, which most of the time is needed to have a nice balance between the part(s) and the rhythm section.
Hope this helps
With kind regards, Wim
