Problem with Juno 60...

Hi there!

I'm new to this forum so please be gentle!

I have just purchased a Juno 60 and am having trouble with the memory. It seems that it keeps reseting and every so often it goes back to -- and I lose the sound I was programming.

Maybe I need a new battery I'm not sure?

I'm new to old vintage synths like this and don't know where to start!

Please help.

Yes, looks like the battery inside got exhausted. You'll need to unscrew and open it and see which one it's inside (should be looking like a silver tablet), then bring it to an electronics store so they can give you the same one.

I would find out if you should have a pro change the battery for you. Sounds stupid, I know but some things cant have any interuption of the small current a battery supplies or you might lose some of the things you saved in memory (if that keyboard even has user memory).
Also the battery may even be soldered in place making what you think would be a simple switch pretty infuriating!

Hi, I have the same problem on my juno 60. I've opened it but I can't find the battery. Is it the yellow thing soldered on the back of the right knob board ? (the one with the chorus )

How can I test it ? I have a voltmeter, what I'm supposed to get as voltage ?

and last question : Where can I find a replacement part that has the exact caracteristics ?

If someone already has it done, I'll be glad to see it...
