Jupiter-8 pricing???

Post by vxfan »

I am looking for a Jupiter-8. I am curious what others thought would be a fair price to pay for a Jupiter-8 that is in excellent condition here in the states?

Good luck with that. The prices for a JP8 are though the roof. Usually between 7 and 10k. Absolutely NOT worth it for my money given the plethora of reasonably prices alternatives. Would I like to have one, yes, but not for 8k. For that kind of money you can buy a brand new JP80, Kronos, Virus and Artura's JP-8V and have enough left over for a six pack of your favorite beverage.

about 8k serviced and working. i have one i bought in 1986 new from akron music center. been in my house ever since. bought it to try to learn to play one, battery died and it has not worked since. all sounds are gone. doesn't want to boot to or tune to patch numbers. service tech he sees nothing wrong with it. just no sounds loaded. any clues, or buyers?
