MC-307, what sound characteristic it has?

I am close to buying one MC-307, but I am holding it for a reason; namely, whatever I heard on youtube, shows me that this little machine is full of aggressive sound be it solo or pad, or effects. I am in the mellow Jarre-type sounds. Does it have those types of sounds as well? Cause I did not hear them.

I will use it as a module, sound source, other functions are not important.

Also, does it have portamento?
