Roland D-50 aftertouch repair

Recently bought a Roland D-50, and the aftertouch is barely working.
Have been searching online for a while trying to find a definitive answer to this but with no luck.
Someone had suggested that it would the same as fixing the aftertouch on a JX-8p, but unfortunately the aftertouch mechanism isn't quite the same.
Any help would be much appreciated.
