And the price is unbelievable; it was initially rumoured to retail at 500,- euros, now I see Thomann sells'em for 398,- (!)
Unbelievable & amazing... :D

Yes, junoguy, that's true; no audio in & no midi out. But that would certainly have driven the price up, so I'm not complaining ;) The bigger brother, the Stromberg, has audio in.

Here are some spec highlights:
-25 voice polyphony
-16 part multitimbral
-3 osc per voice, 3 lfo's & 4 envelopes pr voice
-oscillators can be VA or Wavetables
-plenty of filters, 2 per voice
-1 insert effect pr part
-1 global effect
-huge screen enabling detailed editing & standalone operation
-programmable arpeggiator (per part AFAIK)

Bumping this thread as I have ordered a blofeld to be used as a sidekick for my JP-8000 and Fantom G.

It's quite versatile and has a lot of waveforms. That's basicly it. Also it's multitimbral, so one can create very nice textures, specially when combined with the Fantom G.

The Fantom G live mode lets me make CRAZY HUGE multis, combining 8 patches from the G + Up to 16 patches from the Blofeld.

I admit I never had all f those patched.. heh.. gotta try that monster 24 patches at the same time sometimes, thats huge. :D lol.

Jessej, does the Blofeld have MIDI OUT? Heard a rumor about only having MIDI IN.
You might say "why on Earth would someone need a MIDI OUT on a module" but I'm interested in the keyboard version :)
I'd also want to know about Blofeld keyboard's controller capabilities - if someone has the keyboard version and the rumor proves itself wrong.

The keyboard version has a physical MIDI out. It also has sampling functionalities, read up! :)

The original desktop model has MIDI out too, but only through USB.

Also, the multimode update is coming in january, so the whole blofeld range gets a lot better.

I've just ordered a Blofeld too. Really looking forward to its arrival.

What I don't understand, though, is how 'Hugo', who started this discussion thread, is shown as having made only two posts during this forum's history, yet he's posted four times within the course of this thread alone. Are the statistics not reliable?
