I gotta admit, that sounds terrific. And, it's got faders built-in (along with, apparently, a boat-load of other controllers)!

But, the skeptic in me sees this line in the promo and I start to cringe:

"It is designed for live performers, one man bands, disc jockeys, karaoke, multitrack recording and mastering, MIDI sequencing and digital video production."

...and provides A&R services, promotional materials, books gigs, washes dishes, etc., etc., etc.

While it sounds absolutely terrific, I'm always very leery of units that try to be too many things for too many people. In concept...fabulous. I'll be very intrigued to see how it really is in operation. {Man, you'd think I'm from Missouri or something.)

Cheers,
RW

Just Chill....

Holy mutha! Can it browse the web too? I want one!

So you see I was not mistaking two years ago when I decided to move to Linux! It's new groundbreaking sound architecture (ALSA) has a great future!

However, I wouldn't get this monster X-76, unless I could install Apache, PHP and mySQL to keep on developing Fantom-S.info while writing my tunes.

So another step in the blending of hardware and software. The open architecture approach is definitely the path to follow.

Don’t get too excited, Artemio. I am not ready to purchase anything new just yet to keep up with the support that you provide. :)

This has got to be the nicest community on the net. Thanks, Artemio!
