@ Artemiy

You can listen to some audio demos here:

http://www.waldorfmusic.de/en/news#143

And there is also the handbook ready for download.

At the moment there isn't any demo version and I think they are not doing this. Also you can't buy online because they haven't got a shop.

Thanks, well, I checked the demos and I can't hear anything special. It sounds very generic compared to NI's MASSIVE, for example. If I could check a demo, maybe I could see what it can do, but so far it sounds like 99% of all other software synthesizers.

Ok, here another link to a video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3IkZ5uxl8g

There are two videos for the Largo, the link above is the second video, with more sounds and less speech (German).

Good starting point, isn't it?

Cheers

I downloaded the demo. It seems as though many of the sounds spike my (quad-core) processor. The pads, in particular, come close to overloading the system.

The sounds are so-so. The filters, for some reason, aren't impressing me.

Anyone else have the same problem with their computer? And what is up with that grainy-assed filter?

Sammy, I share your opinion, unfortunately. I had big hopes, but after I tested Largo I could not find any single bit of it that would impress me. Nothing about it stands out (except for it's UI which, annoyingly, doesn't fit my 900 px screen height), and it sounds too generic.

I don't have the Largo, but I have the Blofeld.. just dropping in to say this:

Your spice rack is not your main course! Don't think of it as your main synth.

Think of it as an additional spice or texture generator to be used WITH your Fantom G (or other synth)... That's how I find most use of my Blofeld. Also, love the ssssllloooowww LFOs, they really re-animate when added to my Fantom G sounds...
