Roland U-220 with Sax and Latin SN-U110 cards, Yamaha DX100, DX11, Roland Fantom X6. Been programming my own FM sounds the past 29 years and gotten extremely realistic Grand Pianos, Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Fender Strat/Tele's, flutes, Saxes(even growls!) as well as stunning steel drums and wait4it......bagpipes! All my 4 operator sounds(without making use of the other seven waveforms) sound SO much better than anything on a DX7 and playing it through my Fantom's FX really gets my juice flowing! I also sampled my FM sounds and combined with the Fantom's sounds gotten HUGE Cathedral organ, splendid Fender Rhodes and ultra realistic sax with dynamic growls. I know they don't count as synths but I own a real Fender Rhodes 'suitcase' 88 and a Wurlitzer 200A (yeah you guessed it, I multisampled them too) and with the Fantom's added reverb and FX they are just unbeatable-hence my post elsewhere where I'm selling my unused SRX-12 Classic EPs.

My updated list of gear September 2017, after selling the Rolands JD-Xi and Juno-DS61 and changing them by a Yamaha MX-49 and a Roland TR-8.

A word about the replaced gear:
- The JD-Xi was fun, but really not exactly what I was hoping for. Very limited on the MIDI part and on controlling remotely the ON/OFF of parts.
- The Juno-DS61 was a bit of a disappointment, as it is basically a Juno-Di on steroids, not even close to my old Fantom Xa, with no SuperNatural at all, and the keybed touch is bad and stiff (for my taste), and both the Rhythm Tracks and Pattern Sequencer (the things I bought it for for), are very limited and weak.

A word about the replacers:
- The yamaha MX-49, although an entry level synth, it has a lot of power under the hood for such a low profile looks.
It has very flexible MIDI/AUDIO options, very easy operation, an average keybed (like the MOXF6), 2 Poly Arpeggiators, very tight integration with DAWs (specially Cubase), and... very important.. very good Manuals!!

- Roland TR-8 Rhythm Performer: Very intuitive, fun and flexible drum machine. Awesome to program and a delight to play. Good stuff Roland!!
However, a thumbs down to the (almost nonexistent) documentation...

My Gear, September 2017 (only listing what is being used)

- Roland Integra-7 ("Bread and Butter" sounds - Pianos, Guitars, Basses, Strings, Pads, Drums)

Pictures speak louder than words so here's a few pics of my home studio.

EDIT>>> The forum seems to truncate the images so I'd suggest right clicking and viewing image in new tab.

I did own a JD-Xi for a year but ended up selling it off to buy the Novation Ultranova.

I still have a Juno DS61 that I keep in the living room for on the fly inspiration.

That and the Boss DR-880 Drum machine are currently the only Roland Gear I have in my studio,

Other than that I own a pretty eclectic mix of gear which I'm currently pretty happy with and pretty much meets my needs for the time being.
