Komplete 7?

Post by madAhorn »

Is Komplete 7 a good starting point for me?

I have never used computer samples or computer synths really.

I am ready to start down that road finally...

I love my G and will use it as much as possibe, but I am starting a CD project and need even more Realistic Acoustic Sounds.

Thanks!

I would have posted this in the Software section, but I do not see one...

madAhorn, I've been using Komplete 6 for some time and have been very satisfied with it. I guess that the successor is even better. I think that it's worth it.

With the new price on K7, I don't think you can go wrong with such a package.

However, it may be an overload in terms of the amount of stuff in there, even if the price is good. I'd have a look at MASSIVE + drums/piano/orchestral Kore Soundpacks (KONTAKT player is free), for example.

I did it!

i just purchased my first soft synth...Komplete 7.

I tried the demo's and my old pentium 4 isn't even breaking a sweat!
Of course, I use multiple hard drives which may help.

I had to partly dissemble my old music computer to take out one of the Yamaha DSP Factory cards...my onboard soundcard cannot handle soft syths.

The lowest Asio latency setting I seem to have availble is 512, but it seems like it won't kill me.

This new CD project deserves better sounds than the G alone can give me for Strings, EP's, Piano's, etc...

So here goes the experiment. I ordered it through Buy.com for $449.00 and 6 months same as cash!
