ADAM -- anyone else remember this...?

I seem to recall that, during the late 80s or early 90s, some company produced a high-end hard disk recording system called the "ADAM." I might be wrong on the name, but I do recall specifically that Julian Lennon was profiled in Musician magazine or some other such publication, talking about it.

I don't want to buy an old HD system; I'm simply curious to know if anyone else remembers this. I love to think about and ultimately discuss with others where we've come from in terms of technology. If you have any recollection of this, or even an ariticle that you can post, let us know.
