Kurzweil KS40a Active monitors - Any experience?

Looking at getting these cheap monitors:

Read some really good reviews of them, just wondered if anyone on here as any experience with them? Can be had for around £70 in the uk. I'm currently running through a home hi-fi seperates amp with hi-fi speakers and its far too bass heavy, so anything would be an improvement for me on a budget.

I really like the idea of it being a neutral sound which will sound terrible if i havent got the mix correct.

Would appreciate anyones opinion on these, if they have used them, or know of someone with a pair.

As a side note: I also play guitar through a Line 6 pedal, so with that in mind am i likely to ruin something like this when jamming through them?
