Roland focusrite 4i4 intermittent rhythmic static sound

Hi, I'm having a lot of trouble with my Roland Focusrite 4i4 audio interface... I'm not sure if it is the mac's problem or the interface, but I've been getting this LOUD and rhythmic white noise that seems to start at random times and I can't stop it until I turn off the computer. I know it isn't my speaker problem (which are plugged into 1-2 output) because I can hear the sound in my headphones as well that are connected to the Focusrite. Recently it seems to be happening more and it is driving me crazy. I can't find the solution despite contacting all of my friends who are good with this kind of stuff.. I am using the computer a lot for Zoom calls and online streaming performances, and it is a brand new interface with a brand new M1 Mac Mini (16g) running newest version of Big Sur 11.2.1 . Everything is up to date. Please help, I'd really appreciate it.
