new triton studio to destroy fantom s?

Post by nit3tim3 »

does anyone know anything about it....

it is rumored that:

-color touch screen

-pads(like on the micro control)

-128 voice polyphony

-new wave form editing system

hey this is all rumors of course and no offense to roland but the are the kings of the market at the moment so roland buyers beware this workstation is gonna set the standard...

The new Motif ES has not destroyed the Fantom-S in my eyes and EARS and what do you expect Korg to do to the Fantom-S besides offer another choice in the synth workstation market(you sound like the Motifator contingent with an obvious agenda)?
Technology marches on and so will Roland(look at the MV-8000 for instance).
You obviously don't know much about the Fantom-S to pose a silly question like that!
I expect a Fantom-S rack with 128 Poly soon or a completely new Fantom-S in due time and if Korg(actually sister company of Yammy)comes out with a new Workstation I would imagine it would have some great features.
However SO DOES THE "OLD" Fantom-S and old Triton and it is all subjective as to what you like and what you need!
Asian synth market will always be competitive and move forward.
I've played the Motif ES8 and like the NON triple strike SRX-02 board installed in my S88 better.

Peace,
Tony :D
