Samples with XV-5080

Can you use samples on a MediaCard in Performance mode on the XV-5080? I would like to store samples on a MediaCard and use them in Performances on a XV-5080 so I can set any of the 16 channels with a sample and place it at certain keyboard ranges within the performance.

Is anyone doing this or know if it can be done? I have not found the answer in the manual.

They definitely can be but samples CANNOT be streamed from the card. They have to be loaded into memory first. You can then treat the SAMPLE patches like you would with any other SYNTH patch. Caveat is you just have to load them before you use them. If you use the AUTO LOAD function, you can have them load into memory after you turn the unit on.

See you are writing about samples...I have samples from Fantom X6 and they don't sound good...like they are modulated or lfo changed....so, what samples or which kind samplesshould I use for my XV5080?
Any help would be highly regarded
