XV-5080 waves out of tune?

Hi everyone,

Just discovered a bizarre problem with my XV5080 - in some of the preset patches it plays back some of the waveforms out of tune - all up 1 semitone. It's mostly synth leads, but there are others as well, including waves on my two expansion cards (SR-04 and SR-06). The most bizarre thing is that when I play the waves back on their own in a new patch, they sound fine. I've checked the master tuning, but I haven't done a factory reset yet as I can't find my memory card to back it up.

Has anyone else encountered this problem on the 5080, or any other Roland synths (XV/JV) for that matter?

Download the Roland XV Editor. Use the librarian to backup the memory (provided you don't have any samples in it), then do a factory reset. When that is over, reload the librarian file so you can utilize your old setup. Verify that this works first by saving your LIBRARIAN file and loading it.
