XV 5080 Jumpy Value Knob

Post by apex »

Friend of my wants to know what can be done to fix a jumpy value knob on the xv 5080?

Sometimes he has to turn the knob 3 times to get the value to change by 1 increment... and then othertimes he turns it once and it changes by 2-3 increments...

He's kinda frustrated by it....

thanks

apex- if your friend is willing to take it apart, try electric cleaner spray on the dial (potentiometer) from the inside.

ive also had great suceess with pots and sliders (and even scratchy jacks) using a very light coat of WD40.
