Get sounds from XP-60

Post by starfish108 »

Hi,
I have an Xp-60 with custom sounds and patches. Is there any way to interface with the keyboard to get the tones and download them? Or are the tones from the Orchestral card or Asia card available somewhere? I am upgrading synths and want to preserve the tones.

I checked out Midiquest XL and Tonebank 1.1 and tried to connect my PC via an M-Audio Uno cable. I am not able to see anything!

Forgive me for my noobi-ness. But any help appreciated. Thanks!!

Sounds in the XP like most Roland synths are based on waveforms stored inside the unit.
Different synths have different waves, but there is some crossovers between Roland models.
The SR-JV80 cards will go into the XV series synths (mostly) as well as the XP-60.
A lot of the waves from the SR-JV80 were put into some SRX cards.
I have converted a lot of the SR-JV80 presets so they will work with SRX cards inside FantomS and FantomX and Sonic Cell.
The new Integra 7 has an XV engine with all the SRX cards built in.
So to answer your question you need to say what you are upgrading to.

All the best
