XP-80 Battery Low

Post by RolandBeautiful »

Hi all,
I have a small problem about my XP-80.
After turn on, the display shows "Battery Low".
I already replaced the CR2032 lithium battery twice (first with a Philips, then with a Duracell), but the problem is still present.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

You can try a factory reset. You will lose any personal setting but they are problably already lost since you replaced the battery.

This is the procedure: press 'Utility' then 8 then ENTER and then F6.

You have used a new battery right? :-) Check the date on the battery package, usually it says something like 'good till 11-2018' If you put in a new battery that expired 5 years ago you can expect it to be empty.

You can also try putting the XP-80 in testmode: power on while pressing EFX, UTILITY and RHYTHM until the display says: Now checking devices. If the message BATTERY NG is displayed the battery is dead. Replace with a fresh new one.

Battery replaced with a new Lithium-Battery Duracell.
Problem still present.
Checked with a multimeter and voltage on battery (on PCB) are over 3 V.
Very very strange !
