loading sample st into xv5080

Post by OBINNO »

Hi,

I have a sample set on a smart media card that I've used years ago on an xv5080. I haven't used the 5080 in years and just recently picked another one up. I'm loading the sample set into the unit but can't, for the life of me, remember the steps to have everything from the card load automatically. I know there's a "sound.svd" file, a "bank.s something" file, a "o.svd" file which loads the actual program, and the sample folder. These are all placed within the "roland" folder of the smart media card when loading. However, when I load the "sound" file and the "o" file individually, I can't seem to access the card bank. I use to be able to do this through sonar and the ins def files of the 5080, but for some reason it's not happening. Is there a way to assign the autoload of the 5080 to load "all" from the card? What am i missing here? Thanks for any help.

Late to party, but

page 189 Users manual tells you how to Autoload samples

page 195 Users manual tells you how to STORE samples on Smart Media cards

and

http://www.nathansheldon.com/xv-5080/he ... sounds.pdf

tells you how to access card banks (only 8 A-H) from sequencers, DAW's, etc. just like user bank and preset banks
