JD-800 Factory Patches

Hi
I was wondering if any JD-800 owner could do me a favour?
I would like a sysex copy of the factory patches.

You would need to reset to the factory settings, so save your current settings first.
When that's done press DATA TRANSFER then use the cursor buttons to select FACTORY RESET and then select Yes.

You could use MidiOx to capture the Sysex file if you had a PC -
Connect the JD-800 to your PC Midi interface
View / Sysex...
On the Sysex View dialog select Sysex / Receive Manual Dump...
Give the File a name and press the SAVE button

On the JD-800 do a BULK DUMP (page IV-12 of the manual) of all the internal Midi data.
Press DATA TRANSFER and cursor to....

DATA TRANS INT->MIDI
>All Patch Setup [Y/N]

Press the INC/Yes button.

Thanks
Royce

Hi Tim
I just wanted to compare the JD-800 sound to its patch data.
There are a couple of vids on YouTube with the factory sounds so I just need the patch data to compare it to.
If you could send me the factory banks patch data that would be great.

All the best
Royce

Dear all

I have the same need. However I'm interested in an "ALL" Bulk Dump, not only the 64 Patches, but also the System (for the original effect settings) and the Special Setup information. I would like to reconstruct the "drums" (or at least some signature sounds) of the Factory Special Setup for the JD-08 Boutique Synth.

Thanks + best regards, hobbit

I found the file. Go to http://bobbyblues.recup.ch/roland_jd-80 ... tches.html, download the "All The Web Patches" and take the "ALLJD800.SYX" file from the folder "Georges Zangerle". There it is.
