XV-3080 os 1.06 to 1.11 what does it do ?

Post by synthman »

I've emailed Roland technical support but all they said was they no longer support this item as it's over 5 to years old? I find this strange seeing as it's still supported on their website site, There also is no mention of this in the read me file in the download. So, can someone tell me what the os v 1.11 update ether added, updated or fixed from os v1.06

Thanks

The new OS adds support for the SRX Expansion boards to allow for the full list of patches.

I've just updated to 1.11 tonight as the unit arrived today and have stuck in the platinum trax board.

Took about 3/4 of an hour to update the os via midi, but worked first time.

When you go... system info expansion it now shows .. INFO EXP 1.11 which it did not do before.

Only issue I have now is the encoder which keeps going to fave patch if I'm not gentle with it !!

Hope this helps, Cheers, Col

Thanks for the reply. I also updated the os to 1.11 it takes a bit of time loading one file at a time. My encoder seems to work fine. Waiting for my sr-jv80-15 special FX caed to arrive.
