mute / mute XV-5080 from front panel?

hi can you mute / unmute partials from the front panel?

(muting parts of patches made up from multiple waveforms)

I've never tried but I cant' think of any way unless you are in common EDIT mode - but I don't think that's what you want. Again I've never tried to that particular gyration - dig through manual is best I can tell you

On the smaller XV-5050, there are 4 buttons on the front panel which can be used to activate and de-activate individual tones in a patch - if you go into Patch edit mode, and go into the appropriate screen within Patch edit. I will guess that the same 4 buttons also exist on the XV-5080.

Since I have done a lot of this patch editing from the front panel, I will guess that you might find that this is not truly usable in a live performance situation - especially since typically I am using a *Performance*, and not just a Patch, when I play live.
