JP8000 supersaw (beginners question)

Post by erolz »

Hi,

I just borrowed a JP800 from a friend to learn synthese. My goal is to create the famous trance supersaw sound from init. Could someone please explain to me step-by-step how to create a nice supersaw lead?
I got some SH201 settings but I can not figure out how to translate them to the JP.
Thank you.

step1:
[INIT/UTIL] Initialize PATCH:TEMP / WRITE

step2 (copied from the SH201 software editor):
OSC1 = supersaw / Detune = 20
OSC1 PW/Feedback = 93 (were can I find this on the JP?)
OSC1 Pitch = 0 (were can I find this on the JP?)

OSC2 = supersaw / Detune = 25 (were can I find the OSC2 detune settings on the JP?)
OSC2 PW/Feedback = 97 (were can I find this on the JP?)
OSC2 Pitch = -36 (were can I find this on the JP?)
OSC1/2 balance = 0

LFO1 = triangle
Destination 1 = Filter
Rate = 92 / Dept = 0

LFO2 = triangle
Destination 1 = Filter
Rate = 92 / Dept = 0

Keyboard mode = single
Keayboard part = upper
